Vietnam has three major mobile network operators: Viettel, Vinaphone, and MobiFone. All three provide 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G services across the country. Roaming visitors and local users typically connect via LTE bands B1 (2100 MHz), B3 (1800 MHz), and B8 (900 MHz), while 5G connectivity uses the n78 band at 3.5 GHz.
Local carriers in Vietnam issue eSIMs, offering an alternative to physical SIM cards for users with compatible devices. This allows visitors to activate service conveniently without needing to obtain a traditional SIM card.
